What is OASIS?
OASIS is a nationwide tool to protect players and combat gambling addiction.
Through OASIS, players and third parties may request nationwide self-exclusion for a limited or indefinite period of time. This block is valid for all providers in Germany.
The exclusion period is usually a minimum of one year. Deviating from this, an individual minimum duration can be applied for, but this must not be less than 3 months. Third party exclusions may not be less than one year.
For more information on OASIS, we have a section on our LeoSafePlay website that details everything, or you can read the OASIS FAQs!
How do I request an exclusion?
You can request an exclusion by contacting our customer service team. The team will provide you with the application form to request the exclusion.
Alternatively, you can apply for an exclusion directly from the Darmstadt Regional Council by downloading the application forms from their FAQs page and sending them back.
If you need more information, please visit the OASIS FAQs.
How do I get back into my account after a ban?
OASIS is responsible for the exclusions in Germany and thus also for the lifting of exclusions. You can request a ban removal directly through OASIS or we can help you with the form.
The cancellation can be requested at the earliest after the minimum duration of the connection has expired. The application is made using a special form, which you must fill out and send directly to OASIS. You can find the cancellation form here. There is no guarantee that your exclusion will be lifted after you have applied for it, the decision lies with the Darmstadt Regional Council.
In the absence of an official request, the removal of the ban cannot be reviewed through OASIS.
I have never requested a ban, why am I banned?
OASIS allows third parties to request bans on your behalf. Third parties can be partners, family members or other providers with whom you play.
If an exclusion has been requested on your behalf, you will be invited to comment before a decision is made. After a final decision is made, the data subject will also be notified.
If you have any further questions, please contact our customer service.
I know someone who has a gaming problem, what can I do?
As a third party (e.g. a relative or domestic partner) you can apply for registration of a self-exclusion via OASIS.
In the event of a report, those affected are given the opportunity to comment before a final decision is made.
In the case of third-party bans, knowledge must be available that the person concerned or endangered, is over-indebted, fails to meet financial obligations or
risks stakes that are disproportionate to income or assets.
Please contact our customer service team if you believe a data subject should be excluded. Alternatively, you can download the third-party ban application form directly from the OASIS FAQs.
