Are there any file requirements?
The images of the document must be clear and legible and contain all the required details. Images should be color images and, if possible, original scans/copies of the document. There must be no glaring white or black spots, over- or under-exposure, blurring, excessive cropping or ambiguity that could affect the successful processing of the document.
The dimensions of the file should be no less than 800 pixels in width or height (whichever is smaller).
File size cannot be more than 30 MB per image upload. The minimum image size is 1 MB per document.
Images should not be rotated more than 2 degrees left or right. In addition, the image should not deviate more than 2 degrees from the plane.
Handwritten documents are not supported, while typewritten documents also have limited support.
Are there any requirements for face recognition?
The shot of your face should be about an arm's length from the camera. Pictures taken too close or too far away can give a bad result. The shot should be aimed straight into the camera (90 degrees to the camera lens).
The recording should not be too brightly lit from behind. Please make sure you are facing the light to avoid shadows and over or under exposure from behind.
Please do not wear any distracting objects such as glasses, hats, hands or other objects that could obscure facial features.
The required image size should be at least 640 x 480 pixels and taken within 10 years of the document issue date.
Can I change the language when uploading my documents?
To change the language in HooYu, just click on the document upload link, scroll to the bottom of the page and change the language to the one you want.
